malo e lelei !!   talofa !! A really cool week! I gave a talk yesterday & Dinah Jane (from 5th Harmomy) was there. I had no idea tho. Hahah, her & i talked for like 10 minutes and it wasn't until I got into the car that I realized who she was...my biggest fear came true hahah...being next to a celebrity without even knowing it.  But oh well. This last week was pretty weird though. We visited with a friend on 4.20 but he was super high. So as we were walking with him, we ran into this guy that after talking with him, he really needed to hear about the plan of salvation. Then later in the week we went to a 13 yr olds birthday party to convince 2 of our friends mom to let the kids be baptized in a polynesian ward & not a palangi one hahah. It was odd to say the least, but there was yummy food so I cannot complain! Not a whole lot, but have a great week !! Blessed week !! Too many funny quotes that I could include in this week's email but my favorite was probably my companion & I walking down the street and a complete stranger yelling, "yall be looking foreign walking down that street" hahah, weird way to hit on someone but very complimentary sir. We were extremely busy . . . As usual !! we never get lunch time, or dinner time. or even breakfast because we are constantly on the go. so we feel extremely blessed that our members will shop for us, feed us, and LOVE us !! never met more giving & loving people. last week I commented on a ladys Tongan dress & yesterday at church she handed me a bag and it was that dress she was wearing !!   But, we have a couple of our friends on date. Athena, May 8th. Deon & Kiana for April 28. And we are working with Lawrence & Lulu right now :) They are all so SWEET ! They're all young too which makes it better because they get to begin the covenant path at a young age ...

This is a long one, sorry. But welcome to my food blog !! I get fed like a queen here in Anaheim. The Polynesians know how to cook, love, and especially cook with love. Sister Satini and I have realized we are getting fed sooooo muchhhhh so we started working out at night too. We got a pretty legit apt with a sauna and gym, so we got super lucky and it'll help a lot with all this food hahah. I lost my wallet for 5 days and I didn't even notice because I have gotten fed multiple meals every single day . . . I think its God's apology for putting me in a YSA where I was scraping the ground for crumbs and fighting the mice for dinner. Lol. Another cool thing was some maintenance guy walked into our apartment and randomly gave us $40. That will be going towards my eyelash extention funds hahahah. Jk...kinda. A nother week down & another email titled after ethan. he is a very interesting guy. this week was a wild one !! I got to celebrate my 20th birthday and I can honestly say, it was the best one I have ever had. I was able to spend it with some family who live in Lakewood && my zone spoiled me with 3 different surprises ahahah too good of souls. 1. They snuck into our apartment and decorated it along with cupcakes & treats. 2. They got me a card, cake, and a lovely potato to remind me of home. 3. They all set up a zoom call to sing happy birthday 🥺💕 Sneaky. But sweet. After this the week started to slow down and we got to go to dinner with Ethan and we asked him to bless the food and thats where this infamous title originates. Then we had the next day filled with meetings from 9am - 9:30 pm. It was so boring. We had a training about asking questions and I hated it so I stopped listening about 10 minutes in & grabbed my pillow and blanket and took a nap. Then we had ...

I finally had my embarrassing moment on the mission . . . I was talking to a group of sisters & our mission presidents wife and I was telling them my companions favorite quote when we leave an event, "let's make like a baby and head out" but instead of saying that I said, "let's head out and make a baby" but to make it worst I didn't even catch what I said until 15 minutes later after everyone was done laughing & separated so I couldn't redeem myself . . . I regretted my existence in that moment hahah but thats totally fine !! another funny thing is that my comp & ethan were comparing arm muscles and he called her muscles "speed bumps" and idk why that was the funniest definition to me hahah & the reason why its titled bonk today is bc ethan gave me the nickname bonquiqui bc i had my hair all braided & we did role plays in zone council so they used that name but some couldn't say it so they call me bonk instead lol b...

Wow this week was veryyyy slow. we went on exchanges and i wish i could share the full details but that day was all sorts of tiring !! hahah but i got to stay in el dorado with sister mattice & sister miles and it was such a party !! we honestly didn't have much to do besides discuss a lot of things !! but on Wednesday my comp had to help another sister out so I had to train all on my own and it was fun but definitely weird hahah . . . other than that we got Ethan to come to church && as good as it was...he joined on zoom and blew up the zoom chat and after the speaker was done he commented "praise JEEBUS" so you could only imagine how hard I was laughing in the pew of the church building hahahah I cannot with him. we had hung out with him on Saturday night and got some Mediterranean food & it was so Gucci I havent had a good meal like that in so long, it was NICE :')  but one thing I have really come to realize is how inadequate I am :)) I do not know...

The clock strikes 12:47am. My companions rush hurriedly to the door. I make my way down the stairs, trying not to fall asleep. As I felt the cool air brush against my face, I pull my blanket to me, angrily mumbling. I stare at the asphalt covered in droplets of rain but when I eyes revert to whats ahead of me, I deeply longed to go back in time 20 seconds prior. My heart sunk deep in my stomach as if it was the titanic. I look to my phone and the word 'absence' appeared as my daily common word from the Word Web app. I chuckled at how ironic this vocabulary applied to my very situation in the moment.   Our car was absent.   We won't go into detail but we actually found our car hahah after like 20 mins, we are just dumb ! I actually laughed so hard when I saw the word absence though because I truly felt called out by my own phone haha. But it was a wild adventure... I got to spend the night at some sisters apartment on the hardwood floor. Got 3 hours of sleep with a 6 hour me...
